Downstairs at The Dome is at 178-180 Junction Road in Tufnell Park, London N19, in the borough of Islington. Tufnell Park station on the Northern line is about a minute's walk, which makes it one of the easiest venues on our list to reach by tube. Archway is around 10 minutes on foot and Kentish Town about 11. Funky Mambo run a Tuesday night here with classes and then social dancing, from 7.15pm to 11.30pm. The social is listed at £8, or £6 with an NUS card. Because the night starts with classes, it's a sensible place to start if you're new; check Funky Mambo's site for levels. They also run a fortnightly Friday near Blackfriars and a Saturday social in Highgate.
